Try a Technique: Installation Art inspired by the Exhibition Dancing around the Bride at The Philadelphia Museum of Art Workshop description: Some artists create environments that break from traditional painting or sculpture by allowing viewers to enter their processes and ideas. This workshop begins with a curator talk in the exhibition Dancing around the Bride: Cage, Cunningham, Johns, Rauschenberg, and Duchamp. Artist and teacher Ben Volta will help teachers develop creative strategies for working with multiple mediums, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, technology, music, and performance. Then teachers will work collaboratively in smaller groups to develop an art installation within the Museum’s studios.
